Who Is Gail McKay?
Like many, in my culture, my grandmother was, is, and forever will be the soul of my family. She was there for guidance. She was there for understanding. She was there for nourishment. My grandmother, Gail Mckay, was the Light, and the foundation; not just to her family, but to her community and everyone she had the privilege of sharing a moment with. We look to carry on her legacy and be a Light for our community as Gail McKay was, is, and forever will be.

At The Gail McKay Foundation, our vision is to spread the same light to our extended families in need. We aim to give every student experiences to encourage dreams, growth, and develop leadership skills. The Gail McKay Foundation strives to give every student the opportunity to visit higher learning establishments of their choice, free of charge, to inspire growth during their pursuit of excellence.

Our History
The Gail McKay Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization formed as a way to partner with students, parents, colleges, businesses and communities to help students fulfill their life goals.
Following its formation in 2016 by Trevante Rhodes, the Gail McKay Foundation has distributed over $20,000 by way of its mission. The primary service of the Gail McKay Foundation is to help students attain their educational goals by providing deserving students with the opportunity to receive scholarships and assist with higher education costs.
